Online Application form
The online application form is available in the Studyinfo.fi portal only during the application period.
How to apply
Step 2. Collect the required enclosures and prepare them
At the application stage we require only scanned enclosures (in colour and pdf format) attached to the online application. The required application enclosures are listed on this page. Remember to check both the general requirements for the enclosures and the country-specific requirements. Applicants for the EDISS programme can already at the application stage upload attested documents according to the country-specific requirements to the online application form (recommended). Note that you also have to prepare a video answer.
Applicants, who have not completed their Bachelor’s degree by the application deadline, must in the application form provide an official statement from their higher education institution which states the expected graduation date of the applicant and the course units yet to be finished. They must also enclose the transcript of records of all the studies completed so far. These applicants can be conditionally admitted to the EDISS programme until the final academic documents have been provided to the programme office by email at the latest by the last Friday of July at 15:00 (Helsinki time).
Step 3. Apply online at www.studyinfo.fi
The online EDISS application form is a separate application hosted on Studyinfo.fi. Follow the instructions on the application form and submit the application.
You will not be able to save your application as a draft version. You need to fill in all the required information and upload required enclosures in order to submit your application. If you want to make changes to your application, use the link provided in your confirmation email. The email is sent after the submission of your application. Please note that this link is personal. Giving it to someone else means that they can make changes to your application. You can make changes to your application until the application deadline.
You will be able to upload enclosures to your application up to one week after the application deadline, but you will not be able to change any other information in the application form after the application deadline has passed.
Step 4. Check and submit your application within the given deadline!
You will be able to update the information in your application until the application deadline by using the link sent to the email address that you provided in the application form. In case you did not receive a link, please check your spam folder.
Step 5. Verification of original documents
We require all admitted applicants to submit their original degree certificates and transcript of records, including official translations, of the documents for verification upon arrival in Finland. The verification of the original documents will be done by the EDISS programme office and the admission office of Åbo Akademi University.
Please note that in addition to the general requirements for the enclosures you might also have country-specific requirements to follow if the country you have completed your degree in is listed on the page. All documents, including the ones sent directly to the university by your previous institution must reach the EDISS programme office by the given deadline(s).
Giving incorrect/false information or failing to provide the required documentation will lead to direct cancellation of the admission.
Special needs
We encourage people with special needs to apply for EDISS. If you need special assistance (e.g. you have dyslexia) we will ask you to provide a proof if you are admitted to the programme. Please visit the Åbo Akademi university website to learn more about accessibility in studies.
